How do I RSVP?

There is a tab at the top of this page that says "RSVP." You can fill that out, it will be emailed to Roya. OR, you can call her. 562-480-6369. Or email her at [email protected]. Or text her. Or facebook her. If you are being invited to our wedding, chances are we have other methods of communicating other than a snooty little RSVP card. She'll lose those anyway.

What will the weather be like?

Hot. We're about 15 minutes from the beach. It won't be awful and smoggy like being inland, but it's not as breezy as the ocean either. It'll start getting dark around 8, 8:30, so you'll want a light sweater eventually. But the ceremony will be sunny and probably pretty darn warm.

You want me to what?

Play music, or write a toast, or a poem, or something. We will be having a relatively short official ceremony run by the officiant. We then want the reception to be full of your words and voices. Even if you are not the best man, please feel free to prepare a song, poem, or toast - we may do it formally, we may do it "open-mic" style, but in either case, we would love to sit back and bask in love from everyone!

What should I wear?

Roya will be wearing a white, long dress. Don't wear that. Hahaha.

Seriously, though, the bridesmaids will be in fancy short dresses, groomsmen will be wearing tuxes, but we will all be prepared to switch to flip flops when the ceremony is over. Go with summer-time dressy.

Can I Bring a Guest?

Have we mentioned that we are having a tiny backyard wedding? We had a hard time figuring out where to draw the line with guests - because honestly, the more guests you get to invite, the fewer WE get to invite. So our rule of thumb is basically this - if we have met and spent a significant amount of time with your significant other, or if you live with them, we would be glad to see them at our wedding. If your invitation was only addressed to you - it was addressed that way for a reason. If you are curious, send Roya an email at [email protected]. Thank you for understanding!!!

Will there be alcohol?

We will be providing a bar with beer and wine and serving sangria to go with the paella. We have no objection to you bringing the ingredients to your favorite drink. A good friend of ours will be bartending, so don't be afraid to tip!

What else am I not asking?

Please bring an instrument, if you can. We love live music, and really really really want to surround ourselves with it for our wedding.
